5 Famous Gyms in Los Angeles, California [2024]
5 Famous Gyms near Los Angeles, California [2024]. Traveling to Los Angeles, California, on vacation, and need a gym? Take advantage of these 5 amazing gyms.
We all can agree that there are a ton of distractions in LA. There's nightlife, sports 24/7, beaches, and the biggest distraction: being close to Hollywood. Now I know, if I lived in LA, the only way to stay focused would be to work out. Luckily if you're visiting, just moving out, or going to school, I've got you covered. Take advantage of this list to become the greatest version of yourself.
1. Brick Fitness
Brick Los Angeles has been around since 2010 helping people achieve their fitness goals. This gym offers open gym hours, CrossFit classes, a Barbell Club, HIIT classes, and personal training. A day pass costs $32 and if you want to learn more about the membership pricing, make sure to check out Brick Fitness's website.

2. TriFit Club
There doesn't need to be any introduction to the TriFit Club. Originally opening up in 2005, TriFit Club has proved it's here to stay by earning Santa Monica's Most Loved Gym awards in 2019, 2020, and 2023. The 29,000-square-foot facility is fully equipped and includes a steam room + sauna, a valet service, and many, other luxury amenities. Big shoutout and props to co-owners, Gina and Bernard Baski, for taking the risk, and opening a private gym in Santa Monica. So if you're in the area, I'd highly recommend checking out this gym. Don't settle for Planet Fitness or a Gold's Gym.

3. South Bay Strength Company
"We don't settle for commercial bullshit." I love that quote because South Bay Strength is the farthest thing from a typical commercial gym. This gym is perfect for all of you powerlifters. They ensure they are equipped with every bar, band, and block. If you're a bodybuilder? This gym is perfect for you too. This gym is known for having vintage equipment that hit all those isolated spots. South Bay also has an onsite recovery/prevention center with Dr. Ashley Contorno, a board-certified Doctor of Physical Therapy. I advise this gym for the reasons above, but, I know, that when you hear the day pass is only $25, I'll already have you sold.

4. John Reed Fitness (Downtown LA)
All I have to say to convince you to come to John Reed Fitness is that it's a '33,000 square foot gym with style and sound.' This gym has such an amazing vibe. If you're anyone, who likes live music, you need to check this gym out. This is the only place guest DJs spin records in a booth while members work in a safari-themed room. There are 3 other John Reed Fitness locations. One in Santa Monica, Dallas, and another one in West Hollywood. A day pass, at this location, costs $50.

5. Nela Athletics
Nela Athletics prides itself on its amazing community. This gym offers beginner CrossFit, CrossFit classes, personal training, HIIT classes, plus nutrition coaching. For a day pass it costs $28 and for a week pass it costs $65. If you're someone, who needs to be humbled, I highly suggest you walk into Nela Athletics. Especially, if you're someone who used to play sports. This is a great place to work out if you're competitive and want to challenge yourself.
