If you struggle to get your protein in like I sometimes do, keep reading. These are some tasty foods that are protein filled to help the gains. These are not ranked in a specific order and are picked based on personal preference.
Trader Joe's Sausage
These Trader Joe's are my personal favorite for a quick protein meal. I usually have 2 links, that I make a sandwich out of or with a side of white rice. They are gluten free sausages that have 120 calories and 11 grams of protein in each link. You can have them as a whole meal or just a quick bite, they take about 20 minutes to heat up in the toaster oven and taste really good. They have 7 different flavor options so you won't get bored.
Kodiak Protein Pancakes
Kodiak Pancakes might be one of my sleeper picks here. Personally, I could eat these for breakfast, or a post victory meal after a workout. They have 220 calories and 15 grams of protein "stock," but if you're like me then you know you have to throw chocolate chips and sliced banana in them. These taste amazing and you can get them for as low as $6 from Target.
Greek Yogurt
Greek Yogurt is a great quick and easy protein snack. The brand of greek yogurt is not as important, I just have purchased Oikos in the past. They are only 90 calories with 15 grams of protein, 0 add sugar or artificial sweeteners. I could eat 2 at a time, these yogurts definitely help me reach my protein goals for the day.
Fairlife Core Power Protein Shake
These Core Power protein shakes have come in clutch so many times. Whenever I'm crunched for time and on the go, I always stop at the nearest gas station to pick one up. They have 42 grams of protein and are even gluten free. Personally, I love the taste of these and they have vanilla and strawberry as well. If you're in a pinch and need something quick and easy to hold you over, these are the move.
Trail Mix
Trail mix is on the lower side with protein, but this is too good of a snack to not talk about. Sometimes I find myself eating half a bag at a time. (not the 4 lbs bag) You can eat this snack anywhere and it contains around 5-7 grams of protein per serving size.
